About Me

I got hooked on filmmaking and media arts while in college.
I have a Masters in Mexican American Studies from San Jose State and a BA in Ethnic Studies from Cal State East Bay. I have over 10 years of experience coordinating youth leadership programs and facilitating filmmaking and digital media projects. I have worked with Girls Incorporated of Alameda County with young women of color in leadership and advocacy based programs. My current project includes working as a Service Coordinator for the Palo Alto Housing Corporation where I run a digital arts program for low income teens. I have also been the project director for the New Voices for Youth an outreach project of the League of Women Voters, where I encourage civic engagement among youth through the media arts!
