Last Semester of Grad School

Its unbelievable how time goes by so quick. I feel like just yesterday I sat in my first masters class feeling proud, anxious, nervous and excited. And not I feel like it is all almost over. I have grown so much. Being confident with what I know and proud to say I am a Chicana/o studyst/scholar. I have met some of the most amazing people in my program. Dedicated to their communities, working with youth and engaging in our field. I truly feel I have grasped the meaning of what applied Chicana/o studys means. I see my classmates applying their knowledge and our studys to their work. This is how we can begin to create positive change. I do not want this to end! I love my program, I love my advisors, my classmates and my field! It is a bittersweet moment for me as I begin the journey of writing my thesis project. This is how I can begin to give back and really look back at my semesters at SJSU. This is where I apply what I have learned, how I want to contribute to my field and what Chicana/o studys means to me. An abstract/ description of my project to follow soon!
